What Is A Thriller?

So the topic for this post was to write about what a thriller is, or what the term means.

'Thriller' is a genre of film or television made purposely to thrill the viewer, it uses techniques like suspense and excitement to hook the viewer to it, making them want to know what's going on or what's going to happen. Most thrillers use things like mystery and crime as the main element of their film, the film will make the viewer sit on the edge of their seat throughout because of the techniques used it creates high tension and anticipation for the viewer.

Examples of a thriller are films like Inception, Silence of the Lambs, Fight Club and Seven they are considered to be a thriller as they are very  mysterious throughout and the viewer is always trying to figured out what is going to happen next.
So, to conclude this is what I believe a thriller film is.

  1. You have identified the main pleasures for the audience when watching a thriller so I can see you are able to extract key aspects from Media texts. However the task was to watch 3 and compare them so i can assess your analysis and written skills.

  2. This is a good piece of work, however try and improve on the presentation. Add pictures and maybe a video, the idea was to complete the task around 3 different thriller films so you can not receive higher than a level 2.
